The concept behind Lapland Hide has always been simple yet ambitious: to bring the untouched wilderness of Lapland closer to people, without taking away its purity. 

History

 In 2013, we wanted to create something extraordinary in the remote wilderness of Lapland. That was the beginning of Lapland Hide, a place where comfort meets arctic wilderness .​ 

The place is located overlooking the Lätäsenojoki river nestled between its two rapids.  In the middle of the Northern desert, it is a place of complete privacy and outstanding nature — far from the ordinary.

Every stay is carefully designed around the guest and ​each detail embodies the belief that true luxury is found in simplicity, nature, and genuine care.

The story of Lapland Hide begins with a helicopter pilot, Pekka Tuononen, who has spent his life flying over the vast tundra of northern Lapland. From the air, he saw a land untouched by time — endless silence, mountains, and rivers shimmering in the Arctic light. His vision was simple: to make this wilderness accessible to the people.

Antti Tuononen, year 2012's Finnish champion of young chefs that has gained experience in the world renown restaurant Noma among other places. He wanted guests not only to see the landscape but to taste it, through local ingredients, traditions, and creativity. He aims to build unmemorable experiences where all your senses are fulfilled.
